Quilt & Needle Round Robins

I've been participating in a round robin swap on QN for the last couple of months. I'm on my 4th of 5 rounds. I posted my center block earlier. Here are my contributions to the others in the swap so far:

I had this one first so everything added is my addition. I think I'm inspired now to do something in 30s fabrics. This one is going to be really cute!













I added the gold, green, orange, and brown striped border with HST corners












I added the pink floral and white border

The Diaper Bag is complete!!!

Thank GOD! This took way longer than I had planned. (What else is new) but it is done and overall I am pleased with the outcome. I could have probably saved myself time and headache had I used a pattern, but I couldn't find what I liked so I just made it up myself. This was a learning experience for me, so next time I'll change how I do a couple of things. The bag features two front pockets made to specs of the Air Force ABU blouse, with proper patches and nametapes as they should be (only change is that I moved up the nametapes 1/2 inch from where they should be, just to give pockets more access), elastic topped pockets on either end with rank stripes, and a long pocket along the back side with a flap cover secured by 2 buckles. Inside is large and roomy with 3 pockets along the back side. It is closed at the top with a double zipper, and has an adjustable shoulder strap.

I finally got a chance to get the group quilt top pieced for one of the ladies in my online group's new baby grandson, due to arrive in a couple more months. We had blocks from all over the country, as well as England and Australia in this group project :)

March Mystery

I'm a tester for Jess's new march mysery quilt, and my fabrics arrived today, so I'll be cutting this today and beginning on the first 2 installments. I LOVE these fabrics, Mark Lipinski's Krakow and Califon.

My first Round Robin

I'm participating in my first round robin quilt swap. This is my center medallion, and my first ever attempt at paper piecing. I must say I really love the accuracy aspect of it.

Pooh quilt for baby Aiden Goering

I finished all but the backside of the binding a few weeks ago and forgot to post it! It is all complete now and will be delivered next Sunday to his mommy :) Aiden arrived on Valentines Day!

Cross-stitch bib for Jacob

I love these bibs so much better than regular "tie" ones. They slip on so easily, and since they are a bit larger, they protect clothes better. I have a tough time finding them though. I finished the caterpillar on this one tonight.
